Cusco, some will write it as Cuszco, is probably Perus epicenter for tourism. Yet it has not lost its authenticity. The city is still very cozy and remains till to day a very important place for everyone closely involved to the Inca religion. The city is a must visit for everyone coming to Peru and is an obligatory stop for all of you wanting to visit the Machu Picchu.
What to do in Cusco
There are a few things you just have to see. One of them is the PLaza de Armas, but you'll probably bump in there for sure, as it is still the true center of Cusco.
Actually, there are so many things to do in Cusco, i don't know where to start. Sounds lazy, but it's true. Cusco is a never ending city of things you could add to your list of things to see. I'm not going to write about all of them, but i'll throw in some good links of other blogs and to-do-lists about Cusco.
The first link is a typical classic what to do and see in Cusco. No surprises here, but it does help to get you started.
the second link is way more of the classic track. If you have more then 2 days in Cusco, make sure to cross some of the items in the next list.
but the last link covers it all. I have checked many sites and blogs and if you can't do it better, don't try. Here is what i believe is the best blog about what to do (and what not to do) in Cusco.
